They say that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. Keeping your mind healthy and strong is as important as keeping your body healthy and strong.
Reading, creative pursuits, even taking classes (yes, it's ok for adults to go back to school!) can help keep your mind sharp. Puzzles (crossword and jigsaw) and other logic games are great brain-exercise.
If you have children, join them in their homework and school projects. You might think you know it all, but you'd be surprised what 10, 20 or more years outside the classroom can do to your proficiency in Algebra!
Another important part of mind health is keeping what goes into your thoughts "healthy". While fruits and vegetables are great food for your body, positive, uplifting, and challenging ideas will keep your mind healthy. Meditate on our quote of the day each day. Or choose your own quote. Buy a book of poetry and read one each day.
So, welcome to your mind. Explore and be willing to expand. Feel free to share ~ our message boards will be up and running soon. Meanwhile, feel free to submit your thoughts, ideas, or content to share on this site.
Keep thinking, and then think again!
